Phrase Foundry is a collection of free text processing tools built by an SEO professional for SEO professionals. No subscriptions. No feature walls. No bloat. Just practical utilities that do exactly what they say on the tin.
Why I Built These Tools
I’ve spent years working with keyword lists, content analysis, and text manipulation. The same tasks kept coming up: cleaning messy exports, expanding keyword variations, converting cases, counting words. Every time, I’d either cobble together a solution from multiple sites or fire up a spreadsheet and wrestle with formulas.
Most online tools are either too limited in their free versions or cluttered with ads and upsells. I wanted something better. Something that just works.
So I built my own toolkit. Phrase Foundry started as a personal project—tools I created for my own workflow. They’ve saved me countless hours, and now they’re available for anyone who needs them.
What Makes Phrase Foundry Different
These aren’t watered-down demos designed to push you toward a premium tier. Every tool is fully functional, with no artificial limits on usage.
Here’s what you can expect:
No account required. Use the tools instantly. Your data stays in your browser and isn’t stored on any server.
No feature gates. The full functionality is available to everyone. There’s no “pro” version hiding the good bits.
No distractions. Clean interfaces focused on getting the job done. No pop-ups begging for newsletter signups or social follows.
Practical design. Every feature exists because it solves a real problem I’ve encountered in actual work. Nothing is added just to pad a feature list.
The Tools
The current toolkit focuses on keyword and text processing. Here’s what’s available:
Keyword Scrubber — Clean and deduplicate keyword lists with 17 configurable rules. Remove empty lines, strip metadata, normalise case, and eliminate duplicates in seconds.
Keyword Bloom — Expand seed keywords into variations. Feed in a list of phrases and a set of terms, and watch it generate all the combinations you need for ad groups or content planning.
Keyword Combiner — Generate permutations from multiple word lists. Perfect for creating ad variations, product names, or domain ideas.
Keyword Grouper — Automatically cluster keywords by shared terms, word count, or custom rules. Organise large keyword dumps into logical groups.
Word Counter Pro — Comprehensive text statistics including characters, words, sentences, reading time, and readability scores.
Case Chameleon — Convert text between different capitalisation styles: lowercase, UPPERCASE, Title Case, sentence case, and more.
Slug Generator — Create URL-friendly slugs from any text. Handles accented characters, removes special characters, and keeps things clean.
More tools are in development. The roadmap includes a SERP simulator, find and replace with regex support, list comparison utilities, and various text transformation tools.
Who This Is For
If you work with keywords, content, or text data, these tools will save you time:
SEO specialists — Clean keyword exports, expand variations, analyse content, and prepare data for campaigns.
Content writers — Check word counts, assess readability, generate URL slugs, and transform text formatting.
PPC managers — Build keyword combinations for ad groups, clean up bulk lists, and organise campaigns efficiently.
Developers — Process text data, convert formats, and handle the kinds of string manipulation that come up constantly.
About Me
I’m Glenn Leader, an SEO professional based in the UK. I’ve been working in search and content for years, and I’ve built these tools because I needed them myself. Phrase Foundry is my way of giving back to the community that’s helped me along the way.
If you have questions, suggestions, or just want to say hello, feel free to get in touch. I’m always interested in hearing how people use these tools and what would make them better.
Support the Project
Phrase Foundry is completely free to use. If you find the tools helpful, the best way to support the project is to share it with others who might benefit. A link, a mention, or a recommendation goes a long way.
You can also send feedback about what’s working and what could be improved. Every suggestion helps shape what gets built next.
